CLARIFIED OLD FASHIONED 2 cups Whiskey 3 oz 2:1 Demerara Syrup 1/2 oz aromatic bitters 1/2 oz Orange bitters 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup whole milk Pinch of salt 1/4 tsp citric acid (optional) Makes 6 to 8 drinks Typically, I don't care to add dilution to my clarified drinks. But I did this time to show you can, and for the sake of it being ready to serve. If you wanna throw this in a punch bowl with ice, don't add dilution. The ice will do that for you. Also, remember that Old Fashions are already clear. We are doing this for taste and texture. If yours doesn't come out as clear, it's still a cool drink that has become an entirely different cocktail. This came out awesome. It’s so easy, and it really doesn’t get better than this. Bring this to your festivities, tell grandma to shut her trap and enjoy the evening. Wate 4 hour minimum before filtering Lasts months. Adding the cocktail to milk doesn't help. You can use a nutbag, takes longer. I use whole milk. Milk softens the base spirit (whiskey) Milk preserves a cocktail Milk adds a silky, oily texture
