Indulgent comfort food and classic dishes in 60 seconds

Sam’s Eats, or as his friends and family call him, Sam Way, is a self-taught chef and cookbook author. Up until 2018 he worked as a graphic designer, but felt bored and unfulfilled. He did what many of us only dream of – he quit his job to pursue his passion for cooking. He bought a camera and started filming himself in the kitchen, making his favorite recipes. He uploaded his videos on YouTube, and soon gained a lot of fans who loved his style and personality. He soon developed his trademark 60 second recipe videos, which can only be described as hypnotizing. As a stroke of luck they were also the perfect format for TikTok. When this presentation was written, in March 2024, he had over 10 million followers on the social media platform.

In 2023 Sam’s eats own cookbook, Let’s do some cooking, was released. In the book Sam Way aims to revitalize home-cooking with a mouth-watering collection of flavourful and luxurious dishes to see you from a beautifully executed brunch to a quick mid-week dinner, the perfect sharing platters to an indulgent all-out feast with family and friends. The mix is also recognizable cross all of his platforms.

Right now our favourite video is the beef wellington, and the 5 million views on TikTok suggests we’re not alone. The ability to make a time consuming and complex dish such as beef welly look completely effortless deserves our respect. Or why don’t you try his popcorn chicken, 31 million views can’t be wrong. At first glance there may seem like there’s not much for the vegetarian, but don’t fret! Sam’s got you covered. How about a ratatouille, so perfect it looks like an exact copy of the animated Pixar version. That video boasts a humbling 136 million views.

Basically, whether if you are looking to get inspired to try new dishes, or if you want to learn the process and recipe of a specific dish, chances are you will find what you are looking for at Sam’s eats.
