Simple comfort food and sweets

If you are looking for cozy, wholesome, and family-friendly recipes, you will love Half-baked Harvest. Half-baked Harvest is a food blog and social media empire created by Tieghan Gerard, a self-taught cook and cookbook author.

The recipes on Half Baked Harvest are inspired by Tieghan’s most beloved people and places. Until she was 14 she lived in Cleveland, Ohio then her family moved to the snowy mountains of Colorado. She comes from a family of ten, and a big family means big meals. To tame some of their mealtime chaos and get dinner on the table at a respectable hour, she begins to help out in the kitchen. Realizing how much she enjoyed it, she starts cooking their meals full-time. She captures the process in photos and documented her best recipes, and that’s how Half Baked Harvest was born.

Tieghan starts the blog Half-baked Harvest in 2012, when she’s only 19 years old. She has no formal training in cooking, but she makes up for it with lots of passion and creativity. She learned to cook by watching her mom and reading cookbooks. She also experimented with different flavors and techniques, and developed her own style of cooking. She now lives in a converted horse barn and works out of a studio barn that they built next door. That’s where she spends her days exploring new recipes, photographing her creations, and of course feeding her family. Her hope is to inspire a love for food in others, as well as the courage to try something new.

With her simple and rustic cooking style the dishes on Half-baked Harvest are very approachable. She likes to use ingredients that are easy to find, and to make dishes that are comforting and satisfying. She also likes to add a twist to classic recipes, and to make them more colorful and flavorful.

So many people appreciate her cooking style, with cookbooks featured on the New York Times bestseller list there is no doubt. Her Instagram account has more than 5,5 million followers. On her YouTube channel she posts weekly videos of her recipes step by step. Her website is a goldmine of recipes, videos and various tips and tricks, and if that’s not enough, why don’t you subscribe to her newsletter?

Half-baked Harvest is more than just a food blog – it’s a lifestyle. Tieghan shows you how to make cooking fun, easy, and enjoyable. Half-baked Harvest is the ultimate destination for food lovers of all kinds.
